Howard Johnson by Wyndham Downtown Kamloops

For the price this is a good place to stay in Kamloops. Don't expect much. Rooms are old but clean. There was a dog yapping in the room next to us. If you're a dog person this might be a feature. Thanks. Enjoy!

I had stayed here previously and also had given a bad review. I stayed there this week. NEW MANAGMENT and it shows. They have improved there establishment in every way possible. And I'm am positive with the ambition I've recognized it will be a continuous improvement as they can. Good job

My room was fine. You get what you pay for. Everything was clean. The room smelled fresh. I had a doctor's appointment at the hospital.So the location was perfect. That lady was very good at the desk. I accidentally knocked my phone off and didn't get my wake up call. But she walked over in the cold snd knocked on my door.

I stayed here for 4 days and didn't experience one issue. Clean room, smelled just fine, not sure what all the negative reviews are about but I didn't have one issue here.

My fiancé and I stayed here for one night with our two dogs. When we arrived at reception on Sunday, December 14th, around 4:30 pm, a young woman greeted us. I wish I could remember her name, but she was very friendly. She welcomed us with a big smile, and check-in was quick and easy. She gave us the key and showed us where our room was. The room was presentable, the heating worked properly, and everything in the bathroom worked as it should. It was clean. The hotel is very quiet; you can go for walks, and there are practically no cars at night, so we were able to sleep very well. In the morning, we went down to breakfast at 8 am, and there were waffles, coffee, tea, milk, butter, jams, fruit, toast, cereal, and yogurt. Check-out was also quick and easy. Everything was great. We love the location. The only comment would be that the internet stops working for a few minutes.

It's cheap, decent, clean and very helpful and friendly staff. I made a mistake with my booking and the lady was so kind to give me the same price for the night. I mean yes, it's not the Fairmont, but a good night sleep and a clean shower, what else do you like? Oh and also I had a problem with my TV and the lady came right away. Great service. I be back!!!

The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. I dont think you can expect too much at this price point, but the beds were not the greatest. If I do come back, it will be because the free breakfast had waffles.

When staying at a HoJo, you need to keep your expectations in check, it is a budget hotel so don't expect luxury. The room was quiet and we had A/C which is exactly what we needed after several days of camping in the heat. The bathroom was in rough shape, but it was clean. The bed was lumpy, but still better than camping. The breakfast hit the spot and the front desk lady was very polite and professional. The location is right on main road and in a sketchy area, but we felt safe.
